We are delighted to have successfully completed a comprehensive mental health and wellbeing training programme demonstrating its commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of staff and pupils in line with DfE guidance and best practice.

We have proudly received a National Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation from The National College for successfully engaging the whole school in building a culture where mental health and wellbeing is placed at the heart of decision making.

The National College is the home for high-quality professional development for schools, providing everything schools need to strengthen, manage and evidence their professional development in one place, on one platform. They respond to the latest changes in education and work closely with their members to deliver the most up-to-date library of webinars and courses for all roles, across all settings, underpinned by robust evidence and expertise.

Joe Stoney, co-founder of The National College, said: “Congratulations to everyone at LVS Hassocks on achieving their National Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation. By completing our training programme, the school has shown its strong commitment to developing an environment where both children and staff feel supported, valued and can thrive.

“The DfE and Public Health England (PHE) both stress the importance of a whole school approach to mental health in order to secure better outcomes for pupils, but this requires engagement and investment from all staff. We’ve armed schools with the knowledge and skills they need to understand their responsibilities and how to react in the best way possible to any problems.”

Our Principal, Jen Weeks said:

“We are all absolutely delighted at LVS Hassocks to have been recognised by The National College in gaining our National Mental Health and Wellbeing Accreditation. This has been achieved through a whole school approach in completing training over the course of the last year.

I am so proud to work for LVS Hassocks, who support outstanding CPD and training opportunities for all staff. We can never underestimate the importance of self-development and learning to enhance our practice and the organisations we work for.”
