LVS Hassocks Students Achieve Level 1 Barista Course

LVS Hassocks students had a fantastic day learning new transferable skills last Thursday when they visited Ascot racecourse, a huge thank you to the staff at Sodexo for making this happen.

During their time at the racecourse, they took part in till training and then barista training, and as a result of this were awarded with the Level 1 Barista course. What an incredibly successful day for the students, as they engaged in new tasks and communicated effectively with one another.

They have had a great chance to see if the hospitality industry is of particular interest to them and the trip itself promotes our  ‘developing independence programme’  that is in place for the Sixth Formers, as they prepare for adulthood and the world of work.
