Students Celebrate Horticultural Progress
This year our students have worked hard to improve upon our horticulture area, including the building of raised beds and creating an outdoor learning space. Outdoor learning provides many opportunities for students to work on sensory needs, be physical, learn new skills and provide them with potential avenues for future work.
Through looking after our 3 chickens students take responsibility for cleaning out, caring, collecting the eggs and learn to understand the importance of health and safety.
From September we are pleased that our students in Year 9 and 10 will start studying Horticulture BTEC at Level 1 and Level 2.
