LVS Hassocks is a Specialist School that offers a supported learning environment for young people aged 11-19 with autism.
Our priority is to educate the whole person and provide them with life skills to enable them to successfully enter the world of further study and employment
The postholder will work directly with children and young people with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum (ASD). LSA’s have a varied role within the classroom and school including assisting the teacher, working with individuals or groups of children, organising and running some activities, supporting with off-site activities and producing displays and resources.
Candidates must display some knowledge of special educational needs and Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support in Teaching & Learning in schools or equivalent is desirable.

We have a vacancy for a Band 5/6 HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist to provide high quality assessment and therapy for children and young people with a diagnosis of ASD and associated difficulties such as speech, language and communication needs, ADHD and anxiety.
You will work as part of our Therapy team, alongside, Occupational Therapists as well as our school nurse and the role will involve working closely with our dedicated education team.
This is a full time role, 40 weeks per year and the successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
