Learning Support Assistants

36 hours per week, term-time only - 40 weeks per year

Learning Support Assistants have a varied role within the classroom and school, including: 

  • assisting the Teacher in lessons
  • working with individuals or groups of students
  • organising and running activities
  • producing displays and resources 

The SEN Learning Support Assistants should be a great team player and an excellent communicator as some of our students may display challenging behaviour and need support on a one-to-one basis.

These Learning Support Assistant and Night Support Worker Jobs require that candidates must display some knowledge of special educational needs, in particular children with autistic spectrum conditions. Level 3 Diploma in Specialist support in Teaching and Learnng in schools or equivalent is desirable.

Successful applicants for Learning Support Assistant and Night Support Worker Jobs will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Cleaner - excellent pay and benefits

We are looking for a Cleaner to join our housekeeping team at our school in Sayers Common.  Previous experience is desirable but not essential as we provide full training.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 16.30 – 19.00 & Friday 14.30 – 17.00, 52 weeks per annum.

Occupational Therapist - to start September 2018

LVS Hassocks is a day and boarding school for learner's aged 11-19, who have a range of needs relating to their Autistic spectrum condition.  

We have a vacancy for a Band 6 HCPC registered Occupational Therapist, with additional qualifications in Sensory Integration to provide high quality assessment and therapy for children and young people with a diagnosis of ASD and associated difficulties such as speech, language and communication needs, ADHD and anxiety.

You will work as part of our Therapy team, alongside another Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and our school nurses.    

This is a full time role, 42 weeks per year.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

You will work as part of our Therapy team, alongside another Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists as well as our school nurses and the role will involve working closely with our dedicated education and boarding teams.  

Newly qualified Therapists are welcome to apply and will be fully supported by our Therapy Manager.
