Life Skills Tutors – 39 hours per week c£15,900 - £16,380 p.a.
Life Skills Tutors work in the Residential Department to deliver highly structured programmes of life, independent and work-related skills to students at LVS Hassocks. They also support young people during their school day. Students attend LVS Hassocks on a 40 week, weekly residential basis. The role is based on a shift pattern, with sleep-in duties according to a rota. You should be able to display a high level of willingness to work as part of a team. The role involves working with some young people who may display challenging behaviour.
There are no essential requirements for formal qualifications for this post, but the post holder will be expected to gain NVQ level 3 whilst in post. Candidates must display some knowledge of special educational needs, in particular children with autistic spectrum conditions.

P/T Asst Cleaner - 19 hours per week £6.80ph
Mon-Thurs: 3pm-7pm, Fridays: 3pm-6pm; all year round
An assistant cleaner is needed from September 2010 to join our housekeeping team. The successful applicant willl help to provide and maintain a high standard of housekeeping services within the school and residential setting. We are looking for a team player who is trustworthy, caring and conscientious. The role involves working around young people who may display challenging behaviour.

Facilities Manager
The site at LVS Hassocks is extensive, with buildings and grounds covering over 30 acres.
The post is for an individual based locally to the site with a technical building trade background. Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will be responsible for all on-site maintenance/facilities and the supervision of staff and contractors. You will have the ability to manage your own workload, be organised and able to complete tasks in a timely manner to a high standard. You will also have sound knowledge of Health and Safety practice and be familiar with legislation in this area.
The post holder will be computer literate and a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
