Eight students from the Post 16 group are really enjoying their one day a week at Plumpton College.
Four of the group are doing a small animal care course over 2 years, whilst the other four are studying a vocational pathways course over 1 year. On the vocational programme students have selected 3 different modules from outdoor sports, metal smithing, animal care and motor vehicle, each module will last 10 weeks.
Those students on the animal care programmes are really benefiting from the hands-on experience in the college's animal unit as they are learning a lot about animal health and welfare. This knowledge is then being developed back at school, as they help look after LVS Hassocks ever growing collection of animals.
