LVS Hassocks is celebrating after Ofsted gave them a ‘good’ report, with ‘outstanding’ in many areas; including the students’ behaviour and attitude.
The report complimented the school on the quality of the education, recognising the staffs’ understanding of its students’ special needs and commented that “students make good progress in their learning because they are taught well and follow a good, creative and innovative curriculum”.
The students’ spiritual, moral social and cultural development was judged to be outstanding by Ofsted, as was the provision for students’ welfare, health and safety. The report goes on to say that “the school’s meticulous attention to detail, reflected in its child protection and safeguarding polices, ensures that students work and live in a very safe and secure environment."
Having recently completed a 2 year refurbishment programme it was pleasing to note that the inspectors recognised that the residential provision as an outstanding facility, they also remarked how the extensive grounds “provide many opportunities for students to learn, play and relax safely.”
