Daily Routine

A structured day helps our students focus

Relaxing after lunch

For some students the residential aspect of school life can be difficult.  Particularly when they first join the school, the structured routine and programme of activities can be difficult to adjust to.

To help develop a student’s confidence and take control of their daily life, they each have a visual schedule that helps them focus on their chores, whether it be tidying their bedroom or getting ready for school. This easy to use tool also shows them when they have their dedicated down times and a chance to do their own thing – and that can be anything from playing on the X-box, watching tv, listening to music or reading a book.

Residential staff play a key role in working with the older students in the 14 plus group to further develop their independent living skills.
