At LVS Hassocks we recognise that one of parent’s biggest concerns is often what will happen after their son or daughter finishes school. The goal of Real World Learning is to prepare young people with learning difficulties for life and the work place, so when students leave LVS Hassocks they have the skills and knowledge to get a job and sustain work.
LVS Hassocks students in the Working Skills Department, have an engaging curriculum that focuses on Learning for Employability and Skills for Life.
Students are given the opportunity to engage in work based training either on site - working in the grounds or kitchens, or off site for experience in their chosen area, such as pre-school settings and pet shops.
This encourages the participation and achievement of young people, to help them progress onto further education or employment.
