A specialist school for young people with learning difficulties
Helping young people with Asperger's, autism and dyslexia thrive
LVS Hassocks is a school that offers a supported learning environment for young learners with Asperger’s and autism. Situated in Sayers Common in West Sussex, we are a specialist school that provides an holistic approach to specifically meet the needs of learners with communication, socialisation and imagination difficulties.
Our students, parents and supporting local authorities recognise and value our specialist care and innovative approach to helping young people reach their full potential through:
- combined learning methods
- focus on real work and employability skills
- promoting self awareness, health and wellbeing
Sarah Sherwood, Head Teacher: "I am passionate about ensuring that young people with autistic spectrum disorders have relevant learning opportunities in an environment that recognises the challenges they face on a daily basis and provides them with strategies to manage their anxieties." more from Sarah
